doesn't it already put your followed streamers at the top?
There are some exciting opportunities to leverage Xbox Live’s persisted chat infrastructure to help us build out an awesome Beam messaging/whispering/alerting system, and we’re evaluating the best “Beam friendly” way to present this now. No ETA on a release, but would love feedback on this feature.
i've seen way too many whispers have typos that reveal everything to the entire chat. a separate DM area would be great.
what if you're on multiple teams?
Apologies for the delay in updating this item. I wanted to drop in to provide a status update on this.
In November we launched hosting 2.0 which made it easier for broadcasters to do “traditional” raids (by reflecting viewercount from the hosted channel, providing tabbed chat, and making hosting easier in general).
I am marking this back as “under review” since the item specifically asks for a raid friendly system which is more nuanced than what we ended up shipping.
I’d love to see how we can leverage the framework we built with hosting 2.0 to make this possible. Do you have feedback on what tweaks would need to be made (e.g. perhaps a “allow hosting” checkbox and a preloaded message to send when hosting?) to make this possible?
can that "rule" be made more public or known? i didn't know about that until reading it here!
Followers that are hosting channels will now show up under the new following tab on the browse page as offline. Clicking their channel will allow you to see the host!
I’ve marked this as started because this obviously isn’t ideal UX, but in the future you’ll be able to see more detail about the hosted channel right in the browse experience, and I’d love to get this more tightly integrated into the primary browse view instead of needing to use a tab.
this would require the Broadcast program to send x amount of discreet audio channels first.
i personally don't like the Bits/Cheers that they added. viewers spend money on these fleeting things. it's turned it into YouNow...
We actively plan to make this a thing!
We’re considering this and discussing it with the rest of the team.
This is something we’re considering on implementing in the future.
