There are some exciting opportunities to leverage Xbox Live’s persisted chat infrastructure to help us build out an awesome Beam messaging/whispering/alerting system, and we’re evaluating the best “Beam friendly” way to present this now. No ETA on a release, but would love feedback on this feature.
Hi everyone! Apologies for the delay in updating this item. We have begun work on clips from live streams and hope to launch this item in a future update.
Once creating clips from live-streams is done, we will revisit this item specifically. :)
Happy to say that after much discussion we’re planning on making this a thing! We’d love to give third party developers the tools they need to shape the experience on the platform directly and we’re confident this is a good step in that direction.
Also, make it so the bot users dont have a "profile page" [like http://beam.pro/Chew] but instead have it configured to automatically go to the bot owner's channel, so if I went to my bot's beam.pro/[name] page, it would go to my channel.
I also like 2Cubed suggestion. You should not be able to use an email and password to login, you should require a "token" needed for programs to use.ChewLeKitten shared this idea ·
Yeah twitch just added their service, why not beam?
We have this today for our administration team and will work to expand access to account owners to evaluate their own account activity for security in the future.
No current timeline on this feature, but absolutely something we want to do.

This is something we’re considering on implementing in the future.
Apologies for the delay in updating this item. I wanted to drop in to provide a status update on this.
In November we launched hosting 2.0 which made it easier for broadcasters to do “traditional” raids (by reflecting viewercount from the hosted channel, providing tabbed chat, and making hosting easier in general).
I am marking this back as “under review” since the item specifically asks for a raid friendly system which is more nuanced than what we ended up shipping.
I’d love to see how we can leverage the framework we built with hosting 2.0 to make this possible. Do you have feedback on what tweaks would need to be made (e.g. perhaps a “allow hosting” checkbox and a preloaded message to send when hosting?) to make this possible?
