Make Automatic Messages On Unfollowing Against ToS
Several channels (including prominent partners) have their bots set to whisper or worse yet, publicly post a message when someone unfollows their channels. At the time I write this, a partner (who I won't personally name here) has their bot publicly call unfollowers "a little b**ch."
Calling out people who unfollow creates the kind of community toxicity Mixer claims to not harbour like some other platforms. Bot makers should be encouraged to remove this feature and I believe it should be made a Terms of Service violation to engage in this practice. People should have the right to unfollow whoever they choose without being publicly shamed for it because of a streamer's entitlement. At the very least, partners who represent the brand should not be engaging in this behaviour.
i agree i myself see the follow unfollow thing so what i do it timeout people for 24 hours if they unfollow and tell people in a whisper to contact my staff via my discord if they did it mistakenly so that my staff can remove the timeout i believe this is acceptable but the public unfollow nah thats just disrespect no matter whi it is
I 100% agree. Though I think it's fine to have "I'm sorry to see you go, Have a good one" type unfollow whispers, but stuff like this is terrible. Especially for one of your partners, It's a disgrace on the platform, and a huge misrepresentation. These people are supposed to be the face of Mixer. I think these partners should have their partnership suspended if not terminated. Lastly, To add to the original post, More severe action should be taken to those who misuse moderation tools to ban people on unfollow. On that note (and I will probably make a separate post) I think unfollowing should have a minimum cooldown of an hour and a max of 12 hours, this follow, unfollow stuff is getting old real fast.
I think publicly calling out like that and with names as such is shameful to the max. I have mine set to whisper me and me alone, just the users name, so i know who follows then unfollows ie attention seekers or trolls. I publicly thank everyone for a follow and chat and engage with them, I think it's my right to know who just unfollowed so I can move on to other people who are there to support and not just get a shoutout. I don't abuse or misuse that system. Shouldn't punish all for a few...
The level of disrespectful unfollow messages has definitely become a problem. Normally I don't mind unfollow messages (it's your channel, do what you want) but some of these phrases should be done away with. I'd be all for making it against TOS to call out unfollows though.
I agree 100% with this. unfollow messages should be against TOS. When a PARTNERED STREAMER is calling people "little b**ches" for unfollowing, that is not only unprofessional and makes Mixer look bad, it's downright disgusting behavior and should be against TOS.
