Get Mixer Back on Track
I'm Jinkirin and I've been on Mixer for over 2 years now. I love the platform, but I also recognize there's a lot it needs to improve upon. I'm always told "use the feedback site", so here we go.
-Mobile App: Still very unreliable. My suggestion would be to nuke the app and start over. Get rid of all the bells and whistles and make it into an app that's great for viewing while encouraging the interactive side on more traditional viewing platforms (at least until the app is to a point features can be re-introduced without detriment to the viewing experience).
-Viewing experience: The experience viewers have with desktop, mobile, and even the Xbox apps are sub-par. Buffering, dropped streams, audio not working after unmuting a stream, Mixer taking you back to your page after a host, etc. Whether these are issues related to infrastructure or web design, I can't say. But this should be a focus for retaining viewers on the platform and would be a good investment long term.
-Streamer Progression: There's still no progression system in place and we've gotten no news or updates since its launch. Getting the progression system in place would help and encourage creators to push the platform more. (Reducing Ember overhead was a good start)
-Clips: Fix the existing clip system and make it a viable tool for the creators on the platform. Both partners, and non-partners.
-More search options: Simply searching by category is a dated system. Look at other platforms and they have much more in-depth systems to allow people to find the content they want to see. (Eg. Tags)
-Editor access to VOD downloads: Self-explanatory for larger creators who have editors on hand
-Free sub with gamepass: One of the top rated suggestions on the feedback site. If you want more info for this, go find the original post. Good to compete with twitch Prime imo.
-Platform sponsored events: I'd love to see more tournaments/community-focused events pushed out by the platform. The community does this from time to time, but the platform could benefit from hosting streaming events to bring the community closer together.
Analytics: Need a lot more data. Sponsors and other opportunities look at these and Mixer doesn't have a lot of the information many of these people are looking for. This results in less interest from outside investors because there's no good insight into the health of a channel. Analytics need improved reliability and much more available information.
There's a lot more that needs work probably. I'm no genie with all the answers. But I want to see Mixer raise the bar, rather than sitting on where it currently stands. So I feel these are some of the strongest starting points for Mixer to improve the platform for everyone.
Analytics: yes... it is sorely lacking in good, useful analytics that don't disappear monthly (tracking embers/spark usage, for example.) There are third party solutions, but even those don't cover everything.

The one thing i'd like to add onto this is that as far as the viewing experience goes I can agree with this as a streamer and as a viewer. Google Chrome does not like FTL. I am not sure what the cause is and I couldn't even begin to speculate what it could be so please look into this! I've been forced to work with RTMP servers as of 6 months ago and have found 0 fixes to the issue. This is a huge detriment to streamers on mixer as viewers expect FTL so when you say hello to viewers that say hi and you are running RTMP they are gone before they hear you say hello. Growth is non existent because of this.
1 more thing to add to this list that I would add is fix the ingest servers as well
