Quality options for VOD’s
Being able to change quality options on VOD’s due to to fact that many people can’t watch past streams as they keep buffering
Muhammad Ali commented
watching source video quality should not be an issue for my internet connection. But the videos keeps buffering. At first i thought it was because of my internet connection being poor but whenever i am using mixer, my internet connection does not seems to be at its max performance even during live streams.
If you are someone who loves to watch free movies and series, then you must not miss out Tubi TV. It is one of the streaming services that offers free contents through its website and mobile app. Since it is a free app, you won’t be charged but they do make a revenue out of playing ads in between the videos. To get the channel, download the app from the Channel Store and proceed with the tubi.tv/activate process. Once activated, you can stream across 35+ genres, including action thriller, comedy, documentary and much more. Visit us @ https://www.go-roku-express.com/tubitv-com-activate/
mixer is gay
i am also having this issue, Vods i want to watch keep buffering/stuttering every 5-10 seconds but i have no issue with videos or vods on other platforms
I do recall this being mentioned as something they're working on.
For those of you talking about your Aus internet speeds, that's not a quality issue, I load 1080p vods fairly fast on my adsl2+ (12/1)

I have 100Mps download on NBN and still cannot watch Ninja VODS due to the LAG every 10 secs.
As many want to relive previous competitions and magic moments this needs to be fixed ASAP!
Mixer please get this added. I am in AUS so time zone is an issue. But I have Fibre NBN at 100/40 and can not watch VODs at all on my iPad. Please get this fixed to compete with Twitch, which has NEVER been an issue for me

Why don't they answer us and solve this problem?

I have given up watching Mixer. I don't get a chance to watch streamers live due to my time zone and I am just irritating myself with the constant buffering on VODS. Come on Mixer, sort out your buffering issues or give us quality options, otherwise I will just stick to Twitch.
How incompetent are you as a streaming service by not allowing this? And you want to compete with twitch? Pathetic
Please, I asked for this nearly 2 YEARS ago and it's somehow still not implemented. I don't have godly internet, and I can't make it to most streams on time. I also can't always load streams well and would prefer to catch up on my own time at my own pace. Could you please implement quality options for past broadcasts?
I have a hard time loading your streams to begin with, Mixer, and the vods running at top quality are a total no-load for me. Some people live in the country, you know. Our internet isn't perfect.

New to Mixer myself but have a workaround which seems to be solid so far:
1. Go to: https://bitdownloader.com/mixer-video-downloader and grab the download link (right click on the download button and copy link address), it should resemble: https://vodcontent-6005.xboxlive.com/channel-.... blah blah
2. Open VLC and open a Network Stream.
3. Enjoy stutter free VODs!
VODs at the moment seem to not support a large amount of people who would use them, which are mobile and users with low-end connections (or people with both). People use VODs to catch up on a stream they missed, re-watch moments or to check out what a streamer is like.
For many people this may be watching a VOD while out (e.g on a bus, work, school etc.), which will be done on either a slow public wifi connection or mobile data. Whilst the mobile data may be able to playback the VOD, watching the stream at source quality will lead to the user using up their data plans so people will avoid watching them.
480p is a good quality to provide for smaller streamers since it is less taxing on bandwidth and is watchable on mobile devices due to their screens PPI.
The same could be said about the streams themselves, by having it automatically add 480p transcoding to channels who have consistant 4+ average viewers for the past month and have over 100 followers. Otherwise smaller streamers will continue to move to other streaming platforms which provide this to streams with MUCH lower requirements.
Whilst I understand it does take more to provide this kind of service, it keeps viewers and streams in as currently it is one of the main reasons I hear of people not moving to mixer/moving away from it. For example I see streamers on mixer who are sitting with 70+ viewers and 2,000+ followers without any other quality options than source.
march 2018 -> july 2019, still no implementation for this basic things, wow

Do you have plans to add the option to change live resolution in VOD? It would be very good for me if you added this, because I live in Brazil, and my internet here is not good. So I can not watch lives on the VOD.
It would be very useful for me and other people with weak internet to be able to change the resolution in the VOD.
I dont get how such basic function is not implemented. This is why I still prefer Twitch

Need to have lower resolution options in vods, otherwise it buffers a lot making it unwatchable
I want there to be quality options for all!!!
That would be cool! However if you have mixer pro ( Add on which you have to pay for ) then you can do that already!
