Intentional 24/7 streams are appearing throughout directories (web show, IRL, other) In most cases no “streamer” is present. The streams are a .gif looping with sound. I recommend at a minimum making a new game category that is specifically labeled 24/7, to accommodate this content, or not placing these streams at the top of discovery.
We now have more categories to account for this, and now 24/7 channels don’t appear in top streams!
If you would like to be in a more specific category, you can also pick one of the following:
Radio (24/7 Music Channel)
Always On (for 24/7 non-music channels)

I run a 24x7 music channel on Mixer.
I believe my channel has added value and when running it 24x7 allows people to discover me and my musical choices and skills.
I always stream Live once a week for 1-2 Hours and here and then I stream live from gigs for 4 hours.
I recorded all those live streams over the years and this is what I run in a loop when I'm not live streaming.
I like to believe my streams are high quality and added value. I get lot's of good responses from people that are into my kind of music.
In no way it's my intention to pull away viewers from gaming. I believe those are 2 different things. If you're in a gaming mood you watch game streams, if you are in a music mood you watch music. No competition there.
My recorded livestreams are always tagged, in the video, as "replay", but some people seam to be blind to see it and post sh* about it in my chat.
I like Mixer because I have a more viewers and more enthusiastic crowd.
My stream is tagged as "Music", I have no issues to also tag it as 24x7 when I'm also able to stream with a "Live" tag when I'm streaming Live.
I understand the problem, I don't think the music channels that are correctly tagged are the problem. I think rather the gamers that incorrectly tag their 24x7 music or game stream as a game to get more viewers etc.
I'm a DJ pure sang, I just want my music to be heard so people can enjoy it whenever they want.

Fix this mixer! The 24/7 music streams should not be in the top of live music. Small live djs should be able to be found.

Imma be a 24gamer without anyspam just me playing then music when I'm afk at work with a countdown
I for one really enjoy 24/7 radios and how interactive they are, but would appreciate an own category for it. The ones I follow have people in charge who responds and chat with you and I would be sad to lose that.
The main issue I see with 24/7 spark/mixer point farms is that they take away viewers from the genuine content creators who do their best to entertain the viewer consuming their content.

As a music streamer myself, this I can 100% agree with.
I agree with this.
So many streamers are either making money off these 24/7 streams or are using them to direct traffic to their personal channels.
It's annoying and not real content
They're also using copyrighted music they don't own the rights to for their whole channel content to make money, which is literally illegal

When I click on a specific game, I EXPECT to see actual content. This is not difficult, fix it by re-categorizing it.
There has to be a middle ground here which I think the vast majority agree with on the subject. While I can see some AFK or 24/7 having a place I agree they have no business at the top or even in game categories for that matter, A still image of a looping GIF of a game with music is hardly content for the specified game and only serves to hurt those putting in the work in said game. I agree there needs to be sort of AFK , 24/7, "Animal Cams", "Scenery" or even "Point Farming" category established so those wishing to view those kinds of things can find it and those looking for live streaming content know where to look without having to rifle through dozens of dead air channels. Mixer IS interactive at its core and I feel we should keep it that way.
It's time for the madness to end.
Please. These 24/7 streams are clogging game directories. We have channel one and on + to farm sparks for. And channel one is a good way to meet streamers.
These 24/7 channels are simply becoming F4F garbage. Put them in their own directory. That is all we are asking. They can still be around to "Farm" or "Grow a Community".
I don't want to see these go away entirely. There's still value in these streams, and I like listening to just music mixes sometimes. I do think it is a shame that it hard to discover live music, for example. But, there is still a double edged sword problem of music as a category only being big BECAUSE OF these 24/7 streams. In contrast, "art" is buried and gets little attention.
(And stripping the farming benefits isn't really something I would support, either. I stay on Mixer to listen to music because I can farm. If those are gone, I can listen to the same mixes with slightly less overhead on other sites that I am already on anyway. Plus, I'd get a lot of the same benefits from people offline HOSTING the 24/7 content.. so what's the point.)
A better solution IMO may be to split the "music" page in a way similar to the homepage. "Top Streams" at the top, followed by "Live music", followed by "AFK" or "Music Mixer" or "Other" or whatever you choose to call it. Live musicians still get the category benefit, but stand out a little bit.

I agree. Streams like this are nice to listen to for background music but they bury other channels that have streamers working hard to get recognized.
I agree - this should be their own category.
Definitely agree with this! Give them their own category
They should be in there own catagory
