Release inactive names to active users
(No this is not a repost of my support ticket). Hello, recently I asked for the name "Wrath" on mixer.com since my current one is "wraths" and I was told that I can only get the name if I own youtube.com/user/Wrath
or twitter.com/Wrath (must be verified), or I own twitch.tv/Wrath (must be partnered). The person that owns Wrath has never used their account. They just sniped the name Wrath and never used it (which tells me they're trying to sell the account). With those requirements, if someone named Crown, for example, has a YouTube channel named CrownYT and they want the name Crown on mixer.com, they would have to spend hundreds of dollars to get the YouTube domain just for the name on a streaming platform smaller than Twitch. If he had to pay $500 for youtube.com/user/Crown in order to obtain mixer.com/Crown, but he also had the option to just buy twitch.tv/Crown for $400, he obviously would just forget about you guys and go to Twitch. With the current requirements, getting cool names on here only appeals to those that already own the name that they're asking for.
With this example and my background information, here is my suggestion:
Users that are level 30 or higher (which requires several hours of watching) should be able to claim names that aren't being used. (This will be the 4th way to claim a name). However, they may only claim names that belong to level 1 users that have not been used or have been used for less than fifteen minutes.
Thank you for reading and if this gets implementing, all I ask is that I get the name Wrath.
