Mixer really needs some kind of native donation tool like how Youtube has Super chats and twitch has bits.
3rd party donation sites require viewers to leave the stream, which means they might miss something. They're also not as secure, people can chargeback paypal donations and put financial strain on the streamer. This is why many streamers aren't comfortable taking them.
Plus, it encourages donations by allowing mixer to give small benefits to people who donate. Like how superchats let you pin a comment to the top of chat, or how bits give you a special chat badge.
Finally it can also help out mixer as a platform. Youtube takes a percentage of the super chat, and Twitch sells bits at a small markup for them both to make a profit. Mixer could do the same with competitive prices and take in some revenue, OR mixer could also take the high road by not taking a percentage and this would make the community alot happier and set mixer ahead of the competition.

Embers now exist. This should be marked as Completed.

This kind of already is in the works with Season 2 using a new thing called embers. Quote form blog "Celebrate and show support with Mixer Embers, a new virtual currency that you can buy and use on high-value Skills. Embers will be a paid currency that goes a step further than Sparks and provides your favorite streamers with direct financial rewards and bigger celebrations."
